My Name is Bose Bamidele, I am NOT a Teacher!

Dear Teachers,

I greet you in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ!

I hope you are good, and I really hope you are enjoying your chosen or forced profession as a Teacher!

My name is Bose Bamidele and I am NOT a TEACHER!
I would have failed woefully if I chose that profession, even when it was forced on me by the economy, I smartly wriggled out... I'm sorry, I just don't like that profession, it is for smart people!

Now I want to beg you in the name of the Lord, that the assignments you give to our children are gradually turning me into a teacher, an aggressive teacher I must say... I hate to teach!

If I could teach, my child might not be in school, I'd gladly home school and use the fees for other things.

I hate maths, quantitative, arithmetic... Whatever you call it! I cry when I see the projects asking a three year old to cut out different trees and paste somewhere...
I hate it when I have to hold the child's hand to write a-z!
I particularly find it tasking to help with arithmetics that the child obviously knows nothing about.

I have my own job that tasks me enough...
Sometimes I get assignment from work too!
I can't add teaching to it... I'm sorry... Please don't be angry!

Give these kids the 'home work' they can handle with minimal or no supervision.
Please, I'm just begging.
Yes, I'm lazy.
Yes I'm an olodo.
In fact, I be illiterate.... So help my pikin to learn from You, the literate!

I am NOT a Teacher.
God Bless You!
Yours sincerely,
Bose La'bos Bamidele
(Writer, Singer, Cook and Thinker but NOT a Teacher)
